Etopps IPO : Week of March 12, 2007

 

 

I don’t want anybody to think that I’ve forgotten about the site. The fact is, Etopps elected not to release any IPO’s this week.

 

 

The reasoning behind this has been speculated about on the Etopps message board, amongst other outlets. Of the numerous explanations given, I personally lean towards;

 

• The Basketball set was a poor seller as a whole
• This year’s crop of NBA rookies has been less than stellar, with many given too few minutes to cause demand amongst collectors
• How many 2nd year and non all-star caliber cards can Etopps put out.
• Different sets and genre’s are on tap and the limited staff at Etopps is now focusing on these projects.

 

So hold tight, as hopefully next week Etopps will bring something to market.
